Prayer

Are you a person who believes in the power of prayer?  If so, our family needs your prayers.  We strongly believe that the fervent prayers of many are absolutely critical to our physical, emotional and spiritual health and the vitality of our ministry.

Without going into a lot of details, we've recently felt like we've been under an unusual amount of spiritual attack.  It's very focused and intense, and we feel the need to let others know and join us in praying.  I would be deeply grateful if you could take some time to specifically pray for each individual member of my family by name, (Dave, Joy, Britton, Hudson, Hannah, Tanner, Tyler), and also for our MAF team members.

Thanks!

Hi Dave....I love your blog for all your wonderful photography, exotic stories, and amazing testimony, but I want you to know that I have stopped and interceded on your behalf today. I did not just escape half way around the world today as I read your blog. I closed the geographical and spiritual gap for each of you by name. I look forward to an update that you are feeling the hedge of God's protection surrounding you and his peace enveloping you.

Dave and Joy,
Count us in! Our family will dedicate some time to prayer for your family each by name. We will continue to lift up this specific need for prayer and as you keep us posted. Take heart, Jesus has overcome the world! May you feel encouragement immediately from all the prayers of those praying for you and your team.

Hi Dave,
Me and my family attend GSCC here in Boring Oregon. Alan spoke of you today in service. I think it's wonderful how god is using you and your family. Please know we are praying for you.

Hi Dave,

This is my first time commenting here, I believe. I found your blog a couple months back through a friend's blog. I really enjoy reading about life for you guys in Indonesia, seeing all the pictures , and hearing all the wonderful stories.

I want you to know that I will be praying for you, your family, and the MAF team. Always remember God's promises: "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper..." (Isaiah 54:17) Psalm 91is a great promise for protection also. If God is for us, who can be against us? I look forward to hearing a good report. Keep up the God-work! ;)

God bless.

I believe in the power of prayer because I believe in God! Praying for each of you by name as well as for the MAF staff and families, the pastors and believers, and all the non-believers in your area. Our family, too, has been experiencing huge difficulties here on the other side of the world!

Thank You, God, for the victory! Thank You that You are mighty on our behalf, that our enemies will not triumph over us. Thank You that Your name will be glorified in all the earth! Thank You that You make intercession on our behalf when we do not know how to pray as we ought. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for giving abundant strength to these people who are doing Your work!

Prayed this morning for you and each one of your precious family. Rakel let me know that she is putting this sober and important prayer request in the Prayerline so the entire body at Good Shepherd will have access to it this weekend.

God has laid you, Joy and the kids specifically on our hearts in the last month... We are fervently praying.

"Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." - 1 Jn. 4:4

This has been a good reminder for us as well as we are preparing for our MAF eval (Oct). We understand what it is to experience the spiritual battle. Praise to our God who has and will overcome the enemy!

We will keep you in our prayers throughout the day!

Blessings,
Nan and Will Grant
