Marco Life 1 & 2...absolutely stunning! The breathtaking beauty and detail leads my heart to awe and wonder about the Creator. It really does. I shake my head in amazement. And to think that where you took the photos was away from the airstrip where no one is really paying attention to any of this...but that the Lord is demonstrating His unlimited creativity and power there (and everywhere). Wow. It makes me think of Isaiah 40:26a, 27 -- "Look up into the heavens, Who created all the stars?... O Jacob, how can you say the LORD does not see your troubles?"
"Thank You Lord Jesus for creating and sustaining the stunning beauty of Your world. Thanks too for allowing Dave to be in the midst of it and soak in and capture some of it that we might be filled with joy and wonder at who You are and what You do. Well done Lord Jesus! We are in awe of You!"

Thanks a bunch Dave.

I've been a lurker on your site for awhile and have enjoyed reading about your life as a missionary. These micro pictures are so awesome though, I just had to comment. I'm a photographer and love pictures like this. It's amazing how perfectly God made all of this stuff.

Thanks for your comments guys. Glad you like the pictures. Alan, I agree. I was struck by how much beauty the Lord had tucked away right there in the vicinity of the airstrip, but most of which would never even be seen by people unless they slowed down to specifically look for it. It reminds me of the experience of snorkeling. From above the water you're racing along in a boat, enjoying the air and the sea and the view, thinking that it couldn't get any better than this. But when you take the time to stop, and enter deeper into the scene (under water), it goes from "beautiful scene" to "take-your-breath-away, stunning!" But you have to take the time and make the effort to slow down and see those things. Anyway, I was amazed at the beauty that God had placed right there on a macro scale that I had missed dozens of times before, just waiting to be discovered.
